Casper Is A Real Boy

Cheese Heads!

OK... so were not exactly in Green Bay, but Wisconsin none the less. So I guess I should actually use this blog since ive got it. Now that its not Warped Tour any more, its time to change the name to just Caspers Tour Blog. In case some of you havent heard, I left my post at home in southern California to tour with Jack's Mannequin. Im hold up in a small hotel in Milwaukee and have just tried Chicago pizza for the first time.... AND i think its more like a runny mess of cheese and veggies. For lunch, some of our crew and I went to eat HOT wings from Bufffalo Wild Wings (BW3 for short.) I suggest trying the Dozen Hot Wings.

Anyways.... time to board the bus and depart to Cleveland.

More to come!

NYC?!?

For the few that know about this....I made it to NYC with only a small re-routed flight. Due to some potential weather threats, we were forced to take on more fuel and make the trip across the south and through Atlanta and up the eastern seaboard.
I arrived in NY with only a small bag and my camera, took to the train (subway) and made my way to the city. After a two hour delay in the fabulous MTA subway system, I finally set foot on probably my favorite city in the country...aside from Los Angeles.
So far the city has been great to me....good food, good friends, and how could i leave out good photos. Will post them as soon as I can get them into my flickr account.

Back To Reality....Sort of

Im finally home and back into the swing of things. Today is my first day back to work and it feels different. I became so used to waking up and setting up the tent and doing my daily merch inventory. I really miss all the people that I met each day and the bands that I made friends with. On a happier note....I puchased tons of copies of "Everything In Transit" on tuesday and gave them all away. I took one to Andrew's hospital room and was so pleased to see that his health is improving with each day. I cant wait till he can be out on the road doing what he loves to do.
In NYC I had a great time seeing the city and sampling all the the Vegetarian food that I could find. TRL was an amazing experience and who would have known that the actual studio was really really small. I met pufff daddy or whatever his name is this week. He was really nice and it was great to get some time to spend with my friends before I left to come home to California. Im so sorry that the tour ended but i will tell everyone that I WILL be back sometime soon. I told andrew yesterday that when Jack's goes out on the road and if he needs a merch guy, he can always call me and ill go out in a second!!!!!
Thanks to everyone who came out to help and hand out with me this summer....It would not have gone as smoothly as it did without you all. I have so many stories that ive told andrew and i cant wait to experience more. Keep checking and ill keep posting and for all of you that were apart of our Merch scavenger hunts....you rock and ill come up with some more and better contests soon!

The Time Has Come....

To pack my bags and move on. I have had a great time here at warped and have made some really great friends. I did more traveling than ever in my whole life and I met tons of amazing fans. I told Andrew before I left that he has the most amazing fans in the world and now that ive met most of you, you arent amaazing.....You are the most incredible fans and support Andrew more than I ever thought possible. Two days ago we were in New Jersey and we had a HUGE day. We sold out of all our shirts except 4 XL green shirts. I met alot of fans and helped let people know that Andrew is well and on his way to recovery. Yesterday, We were at the worst venue on the whole tour. We were at a horse barn outside of Boston. It was muddy and overcast. I broke two pairs of sandals because of the mud. We sold the last 4 shirts early in the day and sent all of my supplies including my tent and tables back to LA. I spent the rest of the day at Mae's merch table talking to fans and getting Andrew's present done. It has taken me all tour but ive finally finished it. As soon as I send it to him Ill post some pictures of it. To all of you that had come to see me at warped know that my table had tons of drawings by me and tons of signatures of bands and fans as well as get well messages. I am going to auctuion that table off for the benefit of the PCRF. I arrived in NYC this morning at 4 am and have a few days to rest and vacation before I go home and get back to work. I was in the TRL studios today with my friends from Relient K and took tons of pictures in the infamous TRL photo booth. Ill post them as soon as I get to a scanner. Tomorrow im going to do the touristy things and later at night Im going to the Conan show to watch Motion City Soundtrack... So everyone watch. We offficially raise more than 3000 dollars for the pcrf this tour and sold more than 22,000 in tee shirts. Arvis (soco and Jack's Tour Mgr.) also stopped by on one of our dates in florida. We had so much great feedback about the album from fans and bands alike. I played the album for anyone that would listen and I am bound and determined to make the Jack's record the biggest record ever. I had so much fun and I cant wait to do this again. Who knows....you all might see me out on tour with Jack's Mannequin some day......
you all rock and ill post again soon. get ready for a ton of pictures when i get home

Its not the end is it.......

Its August 10th and I just realized that its almost over. I havent posted in a long while and most of you who have read or come to the shows have seen just how busy it really is. Thats not an excuse but I must thank you all for coming out to help and all the people who have helped me pick up all my boxes when my dolly tips over from being overloaded. Today we sold 95 shirts and tons of 11am bracelets. By the way were in DC!!!! Ive made it to the east coast!!!!! Im having a great time and for the last 3 nights ive slept on Mae's bus. Those guys are amazing have really taken care of me on tour. We have established the official warped 2005 Merch Mafia. The Mafia includes Jack's, Mae, The Academy Is...., Motion City Soundtrack, Bedouin Soundclash, Gratitude, and Hot Rod Circuit. We watch out for each other and make sure we all have enough water. I love all the people that I have met here and become such close friends with. We have begun playing pranks on each other. The other day I sent some Jack's Street Teamers on a mission to bug the merch guy from The Starting Line. After they feel they had sufficiently tortured him, they showed him a note from me that said "Casper and Jack's love you." I am no longer homesick and now all I want is to stay. Of course I miss home and everything about it...but I have learned to love living out of a suitcase and showering with a garden hose. Who know's.... You all might just see me when Jack's tours next selling merch and bugging you all from city to city again.
Sorry for the crazy post. I have only a few minutes before the internet gets shut off.
thanks to you all and most of all Thanks to Andrew for letting me be a part of this amazing experience

Some More Great News!

To go along with Andrew's news of his road to recovery......I am proud to announce that Andrew has officially introduced a brand new shirt here at the Warped Tour and its selling faster than water on the tour. We are here in Atlanta and I was with a friend on the way to get my computer fixed at a local mall when I heard someone on a local radio station (99X) asking about Something Corporate and if they were going to be at warped. The DJ said yes and I decided to call him and correct him. He was really nice and made an on air correction and gave us some serious shout outs. Thanks to everyone that helped me in the last few cities.....You Girls know who you are! It was fun and I still cant believe how far you all drove just to hang out with me. I think were going to sell a ton of tee shirts in this string of dates. We have set up the new Warped tour merch mafia consisting of Jack's, Mae and The Academy Is...... We have been setting up every day and having a great time. Each day at Warped I am trying to get something cool from a band that is signed and were going to auction it off to anyone who donates the most money to the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation. Yesterday we auctioned off a Cymbal that The Butcher from The Academy Is.... broke during his set. All the guys in the band signed it and we raised a bunch of money for a great cause. I got report from back at the label that were making a serious buzz about the booth at warped so everyone keep it up and if i havent had a chance to call or email you about helping out at your date. Please just show up as soon as you can to the booth and ill give you your mission! Find the Hurley and Volcom stages and you will find us. thanks guys and gals

Across The Border Again.

Today we crossed the border again into Canada. This was the first time that they brought out the dogs to search us and the bus. Ive never been so tired in all my life than today, and anyone at the Buffalo NY warped knows why. We had a very unexpected storm come our way late in the day yesterday and it destroyed a bunch of tents and even more personal items. Merch was lost by tons of bands and sponsors. A few computers were flooded in the storm....my computer included. Its not working yet so im going to give it a few days and see how it does. We had some amazing fans come to our rescue and help us hold our tents to the ground while the storm rendered others useless. In the last few days we have sold 200+ shirts. Even in the rain yesterday did we have kids flocking to the JM tent to buy the last of the shirts in our inventory. I spoke to Andrew a few days ago and he told me that he is going to introduce a new shirt design when we return from Canada. So everyone in detroit get ready to be the first to see it. At Chicago warped we gave out more than 3000 postcards, hung up 700 posters and sold 120 shirts and raised tons of money for the PCRF. We had some amazing streetteamers helping at that show! The next day in Minneapolis we sold just about 80 shirts and I met some great fans. Everyone is coming to the tent and asking how andrew is doing and it makes me so incredible happy to be able to tell everyone good news! In Buffalo NY we sold 60 or so shirts. Tomorrow in Quebec City were going to see how much damage has been done to all of our tents and Ill be able to give a detailed description on how much money weve raised at each date. Thanks to everyone again for the ongoing help and support. Were going to have a great summer

Tee Shirts here and there!

So most of you all know that we now officially have Jack's Merch for sale at warped. But what most may not know is that its only been there a few days and in those few days, we've sold 181 shirts. Ive had some incredible help at the recent shows and I cant wait to meet all the rest of the jack's fans all over this country and in Canada. To all the people that have helped me so far, thank you so incredibly much. It is because of you all that this is all possible. I cant wait to be able to call Andrew and tell him that we sold out of all the shirts, lets make it happen! I heard that were going to have more stickers soon, so you all know what that means..... Plastering everything we see at every warped. You all are great and thanks for coming to say hello, and it does make feeling homesick just that much easier to take. On a sidenote, I hung out with the guys in Mae last night and they are all so incredibly nice. Ive become fans of bands here that I never thought that I would. Mostly because they are all amazing people and this whole tour loves and respects Andrew so much! So Andrew if you read this, we all love you here from warped and you have one hell of a good surprise in store for you!

Blood, Sweat, Rain and JACK'S!!!!

Minus the Blood... Im here in Denver Colorado backstage listening to My Chemical Romance typing away. I had a great day here at Mile High Stadium and it was hot right out of the gate. When I thought that it couldn't get any hotter, it did....then it rained! We had some great warped helpers today. They got rid of more than 2000 postcards and helped me man the Jack's booth for hours. We sold more than 40 shirts and raised so much money for PCRF! I finally had a chance to take a shower and have some substantial time to blog. I am soo glad that Andrew is doing better. He has been an amazing friend for a long time and I hope that I can help him as much as he has helped me over the years. This just proves that mind over matter really does work. Well guys time to get back on the bus and head to the next venue! Thank you all for everything and I cant wait to meet you all and If I havent gotten back to your emails yet, be patient and I will. I hope that you all are as excited as I am.
Dont forget to ROCK!
